Greenway EMR Hardware Requirements

MDS Medical can configure your Greenway PrimeSuite installation in a client/server environment, or an ASP (web-hosted EMR) environment - depending on your needs. Typically, smaller practices with reliable broadband connections will opt for ASP setup, while larger practices may elect to have a larger upfront expense (hardware) with a client/server installation in order to achieve maximum speed and more control over data access that doesn't require the internet. Greenway PrimeSuite Server Requirements
1-10 Users
- Processor: Intel Xeon Processor @ 2.0GHz or Higher
- Memory: 2GB Ram or Higher
- Hard Drives: 160GB Hard Drive Space 2 Partitions required (C:\ and D:\), at least 30GB needs to be allocated to C:\ and the remaining space can be allocated to D:\ .
- * MDS Medical recommends redundant hard drive configurations (RAID).
- Operating System: Windows 2003 (R1 or R2) Operating System. The system will NOT support Small Business Sever (SBS Server)
- SQL Server: Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Standard or Enterprise with Software Assurance to SQL Server 2008.
- Notes: The software cannot be accessed on the server which it is installed on. The system cannot run terminal services for software access.
10-25 Users
- Processor: Intel Xeon Processor @ 2.0GHz or Higher
- Memory: 4GB Ram or Higher *Higher than 4GB requires Windows 2003 Enterprise Ed.
- Hard Drives: 250GB Hard Drive Space 2 Partitions required (C:\ and D:\), at least 40GB needs to be allocated to C:\ and the remaining space can be allocated to D:\ . .
- * MDS Medical recommends redundant hard drive configurations (RAID).
- Operating System: Windows 2003 (R1 or R2) Operating System. The system will NOT support Small Business Sever (SBS Server)
- SQL Server: Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Standard or Enterprise with Software Assurance to SQL Server 2008.

25-75 Users (Configuration A)
- Processor: Dual Intel Xeon Processors @ 3.0GHz or Higher
- Memory: 8GB Ram or Higher
- Hard Drives: 400GB Hard Drive Space 2 Partitions required (C:\ and D:\), at least 50GB needs to be allocated to C:\ and the remaining space can be allocated to D:\ .

- Operating System: Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition (R1 or R2)
- SQL Server: Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition with Software Assurance to SQL Server 2008.

25-75 Users (Configuration B)
Web Server
- Processor: Dual Intel Xeon Processor @ 2.0GHz or Higher
- Memory: 2GB Ram or Higher
- Hard Drives: 100 GB Hard Drive Space 2 Partitions required (C:\ and D:\), at least 50GB needs to be allocated to C:\ and the remaining space can be allocated to D:\ .
- * MDS Medical recommends redundant hard drive configurations (RAID).
- Operating System: Windows 2003 (R1 or R2) Operating System. Note: The system will NOT support Small Business Sever (SBS Server).
SQL Server
- Processor: Intel Xeon Processor @ 2.0GHz or Higher
- Memory: 4GB Ram or Higher
- Hard Drives: 300GB Hard Drive Space 2 Partitions required (C:\ and D:\), at least 50Mb needs to be allocated to C:\ and the remaining space can be allocated to D:\ .

Greenway PrimeSuite Workstation Requirements
Standard Workstation/Scanner Workstation

- Hard Drives: 40 GB Hard Drive Space
- Operating System: Windows XP Professional * The system will NOT support Windows Vista*
- Browser: Internet Explorer 6.0 or 7.0, newly released Internet Explorer 8.0 is not yet supported.

Peripheral Requirements
Router/VPN Client
PrimeSuite requires a VPN connection between the PrimeSuite Server and the Greenway PrimeSuite network in order to send electronic claims and download the latest PrimeSuite content. Their can be two configurations for this VPN. (1) You can either use a Cisco ASA series router as your primary gateway, or (2) you can use a Cisco ASA series router behind your current gateway as a VPN client to the PrimeSuite Server. Note: Both configurations require a static IP address.

Gateway Configuration
With a gateway configuration The Cisco ASA would be configured as the main gateway on the network. In order to setup the VPN to the Greenway network the internal network would have to be configured with a network address supplied by MDS. This address corresponds with the site number assigned to the customer (i.e. 10.50.1.0/24).
