Many physician groups are finding a need to replace or convert their current electronic medical records or medical billing software system for any number of reasons.

Some offices may convert only partial data, while others may require a more extensive data conversion or data migration. Eligibility for meaningful use requires reporting on discrete data within your practice management and EHR. There may be some cases where it may not make financial sense to pay for a data migration at all - instead you may wish to use your internal resources and staff. Some of the reasons that our customers have replaced their current PM or EHR systems with Greenway PrimeSUITE:
- Existing system not certified. Current EHR software not ONC-ATCB certified, and won't meet meaningful use standards or enable the physicians to take advantage of the Medicare or Medicaid EHR stimulus incentives.
- Current vendor unstable. Current medical software vendor(s) are financially unstable, thus necessary software development and enhancements are not being released in a timely fashion.
- Current software discontinued. Current practice management or EMR system has been discontinued or "sunsetted" by vendor, nearly always by a large vendor that has competitive products in the same space.
- Need an integrated system. The practice desires an integrated billing and electronic health record system, and perhaps currently has two disparate systems supported by different vendors - or no EMR system at all. Perhaps you like the practice management/billing side of your current vendor's system, but not the clinical application.
- Poor implementation, training, or support. The quality of your vendor's implementation, training, and technical support can make or break the success of your practice, since your operations are tightly tied to your practice management and clinical software systems.
