Greenway PrimeSUITE training customized for your practice
Quality training is not an area you should skimp on during your EMR software and practice management implementation. Lowes, senior editor of Medical Economics went as far to state, “A $30,000 electronic medical record system is like a $30,000 grand piano. Whether you play the equivalent of Beethoven’s “Moonlight” sonata or “Chopsticks” depends on your level of training.” (Medical Economics). We tend to agree.
Since medical software training tends to be an area where groups often try and cut costs, MDS offers a variety of flexible Greenway training options to fit every practice and budget.

PrimeSUITE EMR Training Frequently Asked Questions
Does MDS really offer free Greenway training?
Yes! All MDS Medical customers can call and schedule free 2 hour training sessions at any time, led by experienced PrimeSUITE implementation consultants. These training sessions are included with your monthly maintenance charges. Sessions can cover literally any area of PrimeSUITE where you need extra help. MDS customers use monthly training sessions on a wide variety of features, including but not limited to: custom reporting, ePrescribing, orders tracking, and Greenway template customization. These training sessions can also be used to train new employees or offer refreshers to existing employees! You can schedule the training sessions to cover practice management or clinical features.
How much medical office workflow experience do MDS Consultants have?
Implementation Consultants must not only be able to facilitate the successful assessment, planning, and execution strategy of a training program, but also have a keen understanding of practice workflow and how users will employ the system. All MDS implementation consultants are highly skilled in “change management.” This means we help resistant providers and staff embrace the new system. A combination of product certification and real world field experience ensures that your training program maximizes efficiency and results. MDS has consultants on staff who can accommodate software training in both English and Spanish for practices having bilingual needs.
How does MDS ensure that our staff can maximize what they learn in training?
Most groups use an “at your pace” training strategy. This can be the best approach for information retention. In addition to the benefits of spreading out software and training expenses over a period of time (such as training the practice management system first and the EHR later), training in phases enables users to work with the system as long as necessary until they are ready to move forward. This gradual type of implementation strategy can dramatically increase user satisfaction of the system.
What impact does training have on productivity?
In a word – dramatically. Proper training ensures that your clinical and administrative staff have been trained on the same modules and processes, increasing efficiency and workflow throughout the organization. Training creates a shared sense of purpose and knowledge of the new EHR processes and motivates all users to employ its features to the fullest extent possible.
